Connect Tufts was part of an multi team initiative to promote and improve communication and collaboration tools available to the Tufts community. Research indicated that a significant number of students, faculty and staff were unaware that Tufts supported and offered free access to Office 365, WebEx, Box and Cisco Jabber. Those that were aware of these offerings indicated uncertainty on how to use them. Our team therefore aimed to raise awareness, facilitate access and increase adoption. We also hoped to demonstrate the potential of bundling these tools. Our solution was to build a one page web site that promoted these applications as a suite of complimentary tools. The site features quick tool access, an overview of the basic functionality and features for each, as well as opportunities for combining applications. In addition to the site we also produced a series of one page quick guides to reduce frustration and help users successfully use these tools.
