Open Geoportal

The Open Geoportal is an open source web application to discover, preview, and retrieve geospatial data from multiple repositories. The tool combines text and spatial index searching to rapidly search through thousands of records. Through the web interface, users can then search for geospatial data layers. Layers can be then previewed and customized to facilitate pattern discovery. The project represents a collaborative effort between Tufts, Harvard, MIT and other leading institutions. As design lead, I partnered with the project developers and stakeholders. I designed the UI and provided a pattern library for development.
